Uganda’s Road Network Gets a Major Boost

The Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) has released its March 2024 status report, showcasing significant progress in road construction and maintenance projects. The highlights include:


254.5 km of national roads were upgraded, totaling 6,133 km of paved roads.
56 bridge projects are ongoing, with 16 completed.
684 km of new roads are under construction, including tourism highways.
120 km of urban roads were upgraded, enhancing mobility.
435.6 km of national highways were rehabilitated.
Ferry services are maintained for improved connectivity.


UNRA’s efforts have significantly improved Uganda’s road network, enhancing connectivity and mobility across the country.
