In a significant milestone, the Uganda Road Fund (URF) has disbursed UGX 33.18 billion for the maintenance of district and urban roads in the fourth quarter of FY 2023–24.
This allocation meets the 100% disbursement target, covering all districts, cities, municipalities, town councils, and sub-counties.
The funds, authorised by the URF Board, are designated for the upkeep of the DUCAR network. Local government accounting officers and Members of Parliament are urged to ensure effective utilisation and oversight of the disbursed funds.
