President Yoweri Museveni’s Parish Development Model (PDM) assessment tour in the Bukedi sub-region has been rescheduled to November 8-10, 2024.
During his three-day visit, President Museveni will engage with various stakeholders, including
Local Leaders: Different categories of local leaders will meet with the President to discuss the progress and challenges of the PDM.
Technical Staff: Staff members involved in the implementation of the PDM will also have the opportunity to meet with the President.
Model Farmers: Selected model farmers will share their experiences and successes under the PDM.
Public Rally: The President will address a public rally to promote the PDM and encourage community participation.
The PDM aims to increase household incomes and assist individuals in transitioning from a subsistence economy to a cash-based economy. Launched in February 2022, the program focuses on seven key pillars, including production, storage, processing, marketing, infrastructure, and economic services.
