President Museveni endorses Kiira Motors’ quest for regional market dominance

July 3, 2024: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni engaged in a comprehensive consultation meeting with a group of scientists representing Kiira Motors Corporation at State House Entebbe.

The primary agenda of the meeting was to review the progress and performance of the innovative Kayoola buses and explore potential avenues for expanding their reach into the regional market.

The delegation, led by the Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Hon. Dr. Monica Musenero, provided a detailed update on the technological advancements and milestones achieved with the Kayoola buses.

A key focus of the discussions was devising collaborative strategies to further strengthen the market presence of these buses within the region.

During the meeting, Mr. Paul Isaac Musasizi, the CEO of Kiira Motors Corporation, apprised President Museveni of the successful testing of the buses in the market.

He emphasised that the feedback from clients regarding the efficiency of the buses had been overwhelmingly positive.

Remarkably, the buses had collectively covered over 600,000 kilometres on routes spanning Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania, establishing the corporation’s commitment to delivering high-quality products to the market.

President Museveni reaffirmed his unwavering support for Kiira Motors Corporation during the meeting.

The delegation was also comprised of Hon. John Mulimba, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs—Regional Affairs, and Professor Sandy Stevens Tickodri Togboa, a prominent contributor to the endeavours of Kiira Motors Corporation.
