Summary: Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has announced a surplus in revenue collections for August, exceeding its target of UGX. 2.3 trillion. In a statement, URA said the net revenue collection for last month was UGX. 2,345.04B (UGX. 2.345 trillion), surpassing the target by UGX. 28.19B, which represents a performance rate of 101.22%.

Summary: The Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area-Urban Development (GKMA-UDP) programme was officially launched by the Vice President, Hon. Rtd. Maj Jessica Alupo, in Kira Municipality, Wakiso District, on September 10. The UGX. 2.2 trillion programme is intended to reduce travel time through the provision of efficient transport and resilient infrastructure in GKMA and avail more decent working spaces to enhance job creation. This will be through upgrading strategic roads to tarmac, constructing drainage channels to reduce flooding and building several markets.
