Summary: The government has urged farmers to intensify agricultural activities during the remaining four months of the year, as increased rainfall is expected. “The September, October, November, and December 2024 outlook indicates more rainfall in most parts of the country. This signifies the beginning of the second season,” Mr Fred Bwino Kyakulaga, the State minister for Agriculture said. He advised farmers in regions receiving consistent rainfall, particularly in northern and eastern Uganda, to begin sowing in prepared seed beds.
